And someday in the mist of time*

First new sheets and now a new planner.

I say new planner as if my old one was utilized. Right now my old planner is my file cabinet for important papers. I've never experienced the art of planning. I felt the need to set this goal in motion when Sam said, "Mom, you procrastinate all the time." My first thought was, hmmm..now that is just mean..but then when the cell phone interrupted my service I was pierced with a thorn of reality. My son has spoken the truth and now I must act. I have several friends who have the Franklin Covey planners but they always looked too complicated and way too many tabs. From tasks to do, to goals for the next twelve years. But I found the perfect one to start with yesterday at Office Depot. It was my first time in Office Depot in a long time. Its kinda like Mr. Gattis (This is a place like Chuckie Cheese) in that it represents a place where I spent alot of quarters on my kids one being for the hit the alligator on the head before he disapppears the other being paying my life savings for a calculator and other school supplies. Well, I found the perfect planner that is simple and I am so proud of it. I have been carrying it around the Library showing people and they don't seem as excited as me..hmm..

Have a wonderful day and call me we could have lunch and I can write it in my new planner.

I'm a planner freak (ask Katie)--the problem is that I only do written planners well for two months at the most. I'm always excited during the first few months of the semester about my new planner and making sure everything goes in it, but eventually, I stop writing in it. Vicious cycle.

Btw--dinner on next Tuesday night with me and Katie around 6:30 or 7?

I've finally converted over to using Outlook for my planning. It's really nice especially when coordinating with other people because you can assign and accept tasks and appointments, and so on.

The trick for me is sticking with it long enough to actually get into the routine of not only checking it, but remembering to put everything into it. Getting it to be the "hub" of my activities took a while...

But you're WAY smarter than me so it will be easy for you.

Pencil in a trip to Chicago for me, okay? I'll have my people call your people...

Dinner Tuesday night sounds wonderful, Bev. :) I just ordered a new planner too! It always takes me a while to get used to using a new planner, too. But I'm proud of you...enjoy your newfound state of organization!
