Looking in the eyes of love I can see forever * Alison Krauss

So Whitney got flowers from someone from the blogoshere yesterday. (Gerber daisies, Whitney's and my favorite flower!) Whitney did an incredibly courageous act on Friday and this friend thought she deserved flowers. I am so grateful to those who have reached out to Whitney and Sam who have never met them or only met them once. You have called and talked to them and you have sent gifts of love. I will never forget this. You see, I wanted so much and prayed that my children would see and feel the body of Christ through all this. I have been disappointed in some who are close to us who have stepped back. I do not judge their hearts for I know, as an elder told me, that they think someone else is taking care of them. It is a lesson to me that I must not hesitate or anticipate but take off the towel from around my waist and wash feet. Then a joy will be felt that can only come from serving someone else. I am learning alot and I'm thankful.
On the card sent to Whitney was written:

"If you're going through hell, keep going" ~Winston Churchill~

I like that.

I sat in the back of church with Whitney today and Sam was a row over. Whitney nudged me to tell me that Sam had just thrown a paper airplane to Joel. I sat there in the middle of this worship and sermon on the body of Christ and thought about these two amazing kids and what they have fought through these last few months..and thanks to those of you who had the courage and love to reach out to them. I will never forget it.

I didn't mean for you to get hurt *

Whitney felt really bad. You know life just keeps getting funnier.... So...I am getting ready and the guy on the radio says, "Fifth caller wins Gwen Stefani tickets." Well, a good friend of mine bought Whitney two tickets to this show and she could only pick one friend. This was very hard for my Whitney because she doesn't want to leave anyone out. So I call the radio station..."You are the 4th caller please try again." I try again, "What's your name?" the DJ asks me..then he says, "Beverly you have just won two tickets to see Gwen Stefani!" I ran into Whit's room where she was still sound asleep and told her I won the tickets and she could take two more friends! So I am running back out of the room to get ready when the bottom of my foot finds a broken ceramic mug. Ow! Ow! Ow! So I put bandaids on it and head to work to see the school nurse to see if she thinks I need stitches. She cleaned it out and said she didn't think so. Then she told a teacher of 22 students to put my foot up that day. Oh yeah right! The kids were somewhat understanding and it does seem better today.

"Fish, you are going to have to die anyway. Do you have to kill me too?"..Old Man and The Sea

Okay...So, I watch Old Man and The Sea and get all inspired as I have read and now watch this old fisherman fight against all odds. So I go out and buy me a beta fish and name him "Santiago." I take him home and smile and feel the power of the moment as I drop Santiago in his new fish bowl. I seriously think I was humming the Rocky theme to myself. Well, Santiago died yesterday of I don't know natural causes or...Whitney said she saw our cat drinking out of his bowl...?

When I came home the fish was floating at the bottom. I always thought that dead fish float on the top I mean that's what I always saw when we went dynamite fishing?

I came home and Whitney walked in and said, "Mom, I think your fish is dead." I say, "I know."

Anyways, no more fish for me...

peace, perfect peace....

hard day...could use some peace...

Our theme this week is bugs. You know as I study bugs, which I try to avoid at all costs any other time, I am amazed at what order their colonies and little worlds are in. It is all set up in such an amazing way. We are advised to observe the ant (oh sluggard) and I have been so intrigued with it all. So..when you see a bug today think of Ms. Mann's class! and...if you have any bits of bug trivia to share..lay it on me and I will pass it on to my little inquiring minds.

Ciao Limbo...

" VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - The Roman Catholic Church has effectively buried the concept of limbo..."

Does anyone know what postal zip code we're supposed to use for letters we were sending to Limbo?

And are we still doing purgatory???

I hate guns..

Some would tell me that what happened yesterday had nothing to do with guns..maybe not but I know that guy couldn't have killed 33 people with a baseball bat or a metal rod.
Am I extreme in my pacifism?...yep, guess so.

My prayers go out to all those touched by such hate.

these are the things i just don't get...

how can a father sit and tell his son and daughter that he's moving away for 7 months to have time to pray and journal?....this i do not get...and why do you have to move 2000 miles away to think about things..

my babies are amazing and i would have some big trouble not seeing them for a few days...

i signed on to be a i wrong to think that these babies come before me...isn't that what its about..?

so easy to say you would take a bullet for your kid or walk out into traffic to save them but not so easy to walk them through divorce....its just been so hard on him....he says...

very sad..very sad...very sad...

There's no rest for the running man* was a beautiful night for a late night 2 mile run. I looked at the star filled sky as I listened to Black Eyed Peas, Snow Patrol, B 52's, Sheryl Crow and Imogen Heap. It was a bit tough as I haven't ran lately but it felt good..always does. I kept chanting my montra..(thanks Nike) "Just do it....Just do it...Just do it." It really is the truth...about most things. I have had to push myself a bit these last few months but I know that through it all my God (yep, He's mine) has strengthened me and taught me so much. I pray that for those of you who have been reading my blog that well, you haven't grown tired of hearing about what's been going on. I have gained such strength from your comments.
Well, I have to go fold clothes..."Just do it...Just do it...Just do it.."
