Jett came home wet, smelly and tired!!! We are so thankful..thank you for your prayers!

Jett is missing....

My family covets your prayers. Our Jett is missing. This dog is very important to my family and has loved us through alot. He sleeps with Sam every night and welcomes Whitney home everyday. He is a constant joy and comfort to all of us and he has been missing since yesterday.

The ocean, the ocean washes my feet. Splashes the soul of my shoes.*

So my friend called me yesterday and said she was flying me to Florida for two days in June to meet up with one of my old roomates.

There's something about the ocean that calms my spirit. There's something about the ocean that reminds me there's something so much bigger than me that cares for me. I love the mountains and I love the desert but the ocean is where I most want to be when all seems overwhelming.

I am so excited and so humbled that someone would do this for me. A friend of mine told me that I just might be surprised who the church ends up being as I walk through what I have these last few months and he's right.....thanks Cheri!

Maybe We Can Leave This Much Behind*

There's a girl that works at Sonic..

There's a girl that works at Sonic that smiled at me and called me "sweetheart."
I replied to her sweet words with surprise, "You called me sweetheart?"
She looks at me over her tray of ketchup and sundries, "Yes, I did I can just tell you are a sweetheart."..."I know people."

Dang, why isn't she a CEO somewhere?

I'm sick of wordy people and am charmed and warmed by sweet words from a girl who works at sonic.

So, some are puffed up by there great knowledge of the Bible and puffed up with their
exogesus of scripture..I challenge them to spend some time at the feet of this girl walking around Sonic passing out ketchup and sundries and calling others "sweetheart."

peace.

So one of my students brought a blank paper up to my rocking chair and said, "Read this!" I began to make up something as I read and then he said, "No, you have it upside down." So, I turned the blank paper over and began to think of something to say. "The man who holds this paper is Josh and he is a great man. Listen to all that he has to say." Josh looked at me, smiled, took the paper and walked off.

Sometimes it seems that there is so much more there than is visible to us. Lord help me to see with your eyes the words of those written and hidden in broken hearts.

peace.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. I Corinthians 13:13

Wait..Love is greater than faith and hope...why do you think he took the time to make that so explicit?

I love each one of you and thank you for what you have meant to me these last few months...

I was thinking that maybe I'd get a maid*

If you have someone who comes and cleans your house please pause for a second and be thankful. That must be the coolest.
I had big plans for my Spring Break. I had big plans to clean and organize and get so much done but alas all I have been doing is chauffering these precious boys around with nights of boys sleeping all over couchs and chairs. I love having them here, not complaining, just would love some time or energy to get something done. My favorite Spring Break memory so far is sitting in my living room watching old Twilight Zone episodes and busting a gut laughing with the boys at the over acting and plot lines. So fun.
They say you don't know you are burnout till you stop. This is my first break and I do have a few balls in the air but man, I am just spent. I am praying that I just go easy on my goals for the Spring Break and cherish each moment even if its not spent the way I thought it would.
and ...if you want to send your maid over here (this one will definately get you in the pearly gates) send em over!

Its been raining..and well, rain rocks and so does Pearl Jam...

You carry a pen and a paper and no time and no words you waste*

So...I just got a new book to get me going. Its called The Success Principles by Jack Canfield.

My question is this....Are you the kind of person who reads the Introduction or Preface to a book or are you the kind of person who skips it and gets to the meat of the matter?

It is torturous for me to read the Preface or the Introduction. I don't know why?..maybe I read a bad one once and it just seems futile. I do, on the other hand, love to watch the previews when I go see a movie.

Seems like it's been dark since the devil knows when. How do you go on never knowin' for certain, Will the sun ever shine again?*

It was the best day. Its the time of year when you wake up surprised by the warm weather. There's one thing that I love to do and that is run in the hot sun. I especially love it in the height of the summer when the temps are up in the 100's. There have been a few close calls with heat stroke but I have enjoyed it. I don't know what it is exactly. The dry heat warming up my muscles just invigorates me. I hate to run in the cold. I just hate it. Today I ran around the park with my shorts and tank top on listening to Fallout Boy. Whitney took my music with her to Austin to run in a 10K there and I was forced to beg one of the boys at my house if I might use his Shuffle. Thank you Matt. I had a great run and then later on in the day I watched Sam and his friends play disc golf. I love watching them laughing at each other's lame throws or in awe of awesome putts.

It was a good day.

Hey, my Whitney ran her first 10K today in Austin. She called me to tell me that she and her friend had finished and it was great!! Way to go girl!!! Tonight she is going to eat at Sandra Bullocks new restaurant in Austin.

Sooooooo excited about the sun coming out!! And...its Spring Break!!!

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled.
Jesus wept. How cool is that? He already knew all the answers and yet he wept with this family whom He loved. To weep with someone...its a gift....

Everyday is a winding road*

So anyways...I keep having to put air in my back tire. Does this mean I need to get a new one? and...let me guess..I have to get two new back tires right?
Learning lots of new things like...oh my inspection sticker has been expired for two years...uh..why are you not touched by my tears and are still giving me that $119 ticket officer? ugh..
A friend was able to locate a new back light for my van. The light has been busted out for well...about two years. Another friend just popped it in for me.
So guys, time to pull up my big girl pants and learn a few things....
